已持续三周的武汉高温天气，使得中暑人数增长迅猛。据市职防院统计，今年6月1日至8月9日，武汉市各级各类医疗机构通过网络直报系统，报告中暑病例155例，比去年同期94例上升65%。其中重症59例，是去年同期27例的两倍多。

在155名中暑患者中，45岁以上的占90例；59例重度中暑患者中，大多数为露天作业工人，其次为空巢独居老人。

特别值得注意的是，武汉市今年因中暑已死亡5人，其中2人死于露天作业，1人死于严重脱水，另2人死于室内中暑。而去年、前年均无死亡病例。

武汉市职业病防治院职业卫生科主任毛革诗称，今年的中暑状况是近3年最严重的，与高温持续时间长、强度大密切相关。
