Academy of Engineering： pesticide residues in 80% derived from quality tea

When talking about the present situation of tea industry in China, Chen Zong-Mao said that sustainable development of tea industry in China still face problems of overcapacity. Chen Zong-Mao said that China's tea production volume is not high, but the acreage is growing too fast, leading to higher total production total consumption (domestic consumption and exports). 　　在2013年中国茶叶博览会茶产业高层论坛上，陈宗懋着重谈到了食品安全特别是茶叶的质量安全问题。陈宗懋在论坛上披露，中国茶叶的质量安全问题80%出在农药残留上。陈宗懋说，茶叶中农药残留不仅可能引起慢性毒性，也会引起急性中毒，特别是对儿童的危害性更大。

　　陈宗懋介绍说，茶叶中农药残留允许标准(MRL)每20年降低1个数量级(10倍)。虽然标准一直在提高，但中国茶叶的农药残留却下降明显，陈宗懋表示，中国茶叶出口中，因为农药残留超标查出问题的占比已由上世纪80年代的82%下降到目前的5%左右。

　　在谈到中国茶产业现状时，陈宗懋表示，中国茶产业可持续发展仍然面临产能过剩的问题。陈宗懋介绍说，中国茶叶单产量虽不高，但种植面积增长过快，使总产量高于总消耗量(国内消费和出口)。陈宗懋认为，中国茶产业可以通过转型升级控制产能过剩，把发展方式由数量增长转变为质量增长。(完)
