扬州市一名正处级干部刘德(化名)介绍，今年5月23日，扬州萃园城市酒店副总经理祝梅被有关部门带走。

陈先生回忆称，今年5月祝梅被有关部门带走后，8月23日，祝梅的父亲去世，她在有专门人士陪同下到父亲灵堂磕了三个头，后又被带走。也因此，祝梅被调查的消息流传。
另一名认识祝梅多年的王红(化名)说，祝家人跟她说，祝梅是清白的，只是接受调查，完了就可以回来了，“她的家人希望她早点把事情说清楚”。
王红称，季建业每次出国都会带礼物给祝梅，还经常给她一些名贵补品。季建业到任南京后，祝梅还会去看望他。
扬州一名不愿透露姓名的官员称，7月，一名与季建业关系密切的港商也被执行监视居住，该港商在扬州和南京承接有政府工程项目。

据记者调查，金螳螂在扬州先从广告业务开始。据扬州一家广告公司负责人介绍，2002年，金螳螂进驻扬州，主打车身广告。

据一名曾在扬州市经济开发区管委会任职的官员介绍，2006年初，金螳螂公司承接了管委会办公大楼的大厅装修工作。这名官员说，原来的大厅装修很不错，没想到开发区又出资五六百万，重新装修。
该官员称，位于开发区的一个用于接待客商的会所，也是由金螳螂装修的，花费数千万元。
扬州一名装潢公司的负责人说，金螳螂公司在扬州非常“霸道”，一度引起扬州装潢行业的强烈不满。
他说，曾经有一家公司成功竞标到扬州一家事业单位的内部装修项目，但不久之后，这个标却“流产”了。后来得知，有领导给这个事业单位打过招呼，这家单位毁约后，由金螳螂代替来装修，而金螳螂出的价格，要比原来那家装修公司高很多。
公开资料显示，2008年金螳螂在扬州的工程包括扬州市地税综合办公大楼、扬州金陵大酒店等，2009年承接了扬州公安局业务技术用房等。
曾为金螳螂“对接”人脉？
记者采访的诸多扬州、苏州官场人士分析认为，季建业的落马，应与金螳螂承接过的政府项目有关
据知情人士介绍，季建业也曾多次将人脉关系“对接”给金螳螂公司。
在季建业工作过的昆山，公开资料显示，2006年，金螳螂承接了昆山体育馆的装修工作，2009年，昆山工业技术研究院，2012年，昆山醉皇冠会展酒店，昆山高新技术创业服务中心大楼等。
这种涉嫌“对接”的交集，在苏州也有所体现。季建业曾是苏州大学的博士生。2007年底，苏州大学与金螳螂公司签订合作共建协议，2008年9月。苏州大学城市科学学院，更名为“苏州大学金螳螂建筑与城市环境学院”，简称“金螳螂学院”。
金螳螂在南京涉及的项目众多，其中也不乏政府项目身影。例如南京江宁区人民法院审判综合楼、南京图书馆、南京地铁一号线工程许府巷站装饰、南京奥林匹克体育中心体育场、南京江宁体育中心场、南京会议展览中心会议中心等。
金螳螂也曾多次在北京、上海等大城市承接项目。金螳螂曾承接江苏驻京办江苏大厦的装修工作。
诸多项目让金螳螂的发展“扶摇直上”，成为装修行业的领头羊。
公开资料显示，自2006年上市之后至2012年，金螳螂年净利润也由上市首年的不足7000万元涨到了去年的11.11亿，6年时间增长了将近15倍。
今年7月金螳螂董事长被带走调查后，金螳螂的股价曾一度波动。记者采访的诸多扬州、苏州官场人士分析认为，季建业的落马，应与金螳螂承接的工程有关。
“既要勤政又要廉政，既要干事又要干净，”2009年8月26日，被任命为南京市代理市长时，季建业表态。他承诺：“不为亲戚朋友谋私利，不允许亲友家人打着我的旗号办事、拉工程，不干涉工程招投标、土地招拍挂等方面的事项。”
扬州迎宾馆2号楼装修项目当年的一名负责人说，他曾专门向季建业汇报，询问是否要走招拍挂程序。季建业说：“还要这个干吗，就这样弄了。”
他介绍，按照程序，政府项目的装修工程要相关部门向市政府计划委员会报批，提交规划部门讨论，通过之后，再进行招拍挂。他说，季建业直接“钦点”了金螳螂，只能说明对方很有来头。
