中新网荆门10月30日电 (记者 吴奇勇)10月29日下午3时30分左右，湖北省荆门市东宝区马河镇碗厂沟煤矿发生透水事故，当班下井人员36人，安全升井31人，5人被困。
记者30日从东宝区委宣传部门了解到，事故发生后，荆门市委书记万勇，市委常委、市委秘书长周友坤赶赴事故现场，调度指挥应急救援工作。荆门市长肖菊华在北京出差也立即赶回荆门，奔赴事故现场指挥。
据了解，荆门市、东宝区组织建立了勘探组、抽水组、掘进组(两组)、设备组、后勤保障组、医疗组、技术组、
安保组等共125人的应急救援专班队伍，紧急调集挖掘机2台，大型水泵11台套，照明设施66套，挖掘设备45套，现场救援工作有序开展。
目前，透水已经抽干，正在清淤，现场其他救援工作也在紧张有序开展，事故原因正在调查之中。荆门全市煤矿、非煤矿山已责令全部停产，开展安全生产隐患大排查和整顿整改。
