这名女生的行为和言语给小梁老师带来莫大的困扰。一开始碰到这样的事情，小梁老师感到非常抑郁，会一直哭，打不起精神做任何事情，当时寻求了很多专业的帮助和心理咨询。
小梁老师说，小镇上只有她一名华人，但是她和小镇居民、校园里的老师和其他同学都相处得很好。发生这样的情况，老师们都非常支持对女生进行停课，让小梁老师得到一个公道。班上的同学也不欢迎这名女生，在女生不断出言不逊时，其他同学让这名女生闭嘴，但她依然我行我素，谁也拿她没有办法。

站出来申诉保护自己
由于语言、文化背景上的差异，不可否认华人老师在本地学校任教时或多或少都遇到或大或小的困难，有可能会面对文化与语言上的挑战，有可能面对同事或者学生的不友好或者挑衅。那么像小梁老师在面对这些严重的情况时应该怎么办呢？

严晔主任介绍，在澳洲，每个州或者领地的立法情况都不一样，而且私校系统和公校系统又不一样，所以还是需要具体问题具体对待。就在新州而言，每所政府学校都设置有一名反种族联络主任(ARCO，Anti-Racism Contact Officer)。在新州的一些学校，有可能也会发生一些学生对老师不敬或者有种族歧视的情况，但不至于发展至如此严重，因为处于萌芽状态时就已经想办法解决了。
严晔主任认为学生的父母或者监护人负有不可推卸的责任，发生至严重的后果还要负刑事责任，因为是她的生活环境造就了这样的性格和行为。澳洲的成人法律虽然对这名女生不适用，但是同样有青少年条例的管束。而如何保护自己不受伤害，严晔主任认为在校方没有采取强有力的措施保护老师，而一些独立学校又不属于教育部门的管辖范围的情况下，老师应该寻求警方的帮助和介入，在取证方面的做法应咨询警方。
