广州检察院还追加起诉黄志光非法持有枪支罪。检方称，1985年至1990年间，黄志光分别购买了制式猎枪及气枪各一支，并在深圳市公安局办理了枪证，但枪证到期后黄志光仍非法将枪支藏于住处；1995年至2002年间，黄志光非法取得制式猎枪5支，没有办理枪证及持枪证，却将枪支藏于其深圳住处。
黄志光在11日庭审中，承认了公诉机关的全部指控，但对具体受贿数额提出异议。黄志光说，关于他持有的枪支，其中两支是枪证过期后未续，而其它枪支是朋友送给他试用的。
