Health Planning Committee： Western and Eastern health literacy gap continued to expand

Health literacy level of the population increased most in the eastern part.

From the perspective of population distribution in 2012, female, low age, low literacy health literacy level of the population than in 2008 has considerably increased. 2012 men's health literacy levels of 8.52%, women and 9.09%, and 1.55, respectively, women's increase is larger than the male. 2012 in all age groups health literacy in General, higher than the water in 2008, lower secondary and below human health literacy levels than in 2008 increased significantly, but high school or above in health literacy levels and 2008 does not vary.

　　毛群安说，2012年，各地区、各类人群的健康素养水平较2008年均有较大幅度提升。从城乡分布看，2012年城市居民健康素养水平为11.79%，比2008年(9.94%)提高了1.85个百分点，提高幅度为18.61%；农村居民健康素养水平为7.13%，比2008年(3.43%)提高了3.70个百分点，提高幅度为107.87%。农村居民健康素养水平提高幅度远大于城市居民，城乡差距在逐步缩小。

　　从东中西部地区看，2012年东、中、西部地区居民健康素养水平分别为10.31%、8.59%和6.86%，与2008年相比，分别提高了3.28、0.92和1.63百分点。东部地区居民健康素养水平提高幅度最大。

　　从人群分布看，2012年女性、低年龄组、文化程度较低人群的健康素养水平较2008年均有较大幅度提高。2012年男性健康素养水平为8.52%，女性为9.09%，分别提高了1.55和3.10个百分点，女性提高幅度大于男性。2012年各年龄组健康素养水普遍高于2008年，初中及以下人群健康素养水平较2008年明显提高，但高中及以上人群健康素养水平与2008年差异不大。
