　　10月30日，“中国农业银行杯”CCTV2013年度三农人物推介活动启动仪式暨华北片区“寻找身边的三农人物”在中国农业大学隆重举行。自华北片区的四位候选人何江萍、李要春、刘桂芳、秦同和与现场观众见面。其中，山西省晋城市陵川县秦同和凭借更加真挚感人的杰出事迹，经现场评审团和观众一致决定成为首位入选全国25强的三农人物候选人。

　　秦同和，一位奋斗在教育一线40年的退休老教师，在其40年的教师生涯中，先后从陵川县礼义镇的椅掌村高小到附城镇完小，从平川完小到北关中学，再从平城中学到礼义中学，一点一滴挥洒着自己的满腔热血，为自己家乡的教育事业、为山里的孩子能走出大山孜孜不倦、脚踏实地的贡献自己的力量。

　　山区人民的生活是贫穷的，是艰苦的，山区孩子的求学路更是充满艰难的。为了让山区更多的孩子实现上大学的梦想，他把自己经营的1000亩药材林，无偿分给52名贫困学生，又实施5000株连翘扶贫助学工程，扶持了20名学生。

　　除此之外，从2004年起连续6年，秦同和每年“六一”期间都会为梁泉村小学、仕图苑小学捐资“鼓励奖”各500元，共6000元；2004年秦同和还投资5万元在村里建立了“三室三校”，组织编写了35篇共3万字的培训资料，举办法制讲座、科技培训25次；2005年投资10万元为本村铺了水泥路；在国庆60周年和建党90周年之际，自筹资金精心制作了250块图片版面，在全县广大农村、社区、学校进行巡回展出，受到广大师生和社会各界的好评。

　　无私奉献山村教育的同时，秦同和也收获了相关部门的表彰。2008年，被省关工委、省文明办授予“全省关心下一代先进个人”； 2009年，被省委、省政府授予“老有所为先进个人”；2011年，他荣登6月份的“中国好人榜”；2012年，他又被评为“感动山西十大人物”。

　　教书育人40年，秦同和可谓桃李满天下，然而一颗誓要改变山区教育、送更多莘莘学子走出大山的心却始终没有改变，无论是否在教育岗位，秦同和老人始终坚守自己的信念，如一盏明灯般照亮山区孩子的求学路。
