A: what do you think of new delegates to the CCTV building a skyscraper?
Aolei·sheren: history is created by the CCTV building, high-rise building not only challenges the traditional, also re-define new types of high-rise buildings. In 2002, when we started design of the CCTV building, number of tall buildings in Asia as a whole than the United States and Europe. This also allows us to start thinking about an interesting context: a high-rise building in Asia should be like? A high-rise building can achieve the kind of quality? From this point, CCTV building is also a declaration of tall buildings in Asia.
CCTV building also become a very important part of my life, this is the reason I live and work in China for more than 10 years. Construction of this building, as well as a huge complex workload means great responsibility, that I'm ready for a future design entered from the East to West, is using the Asian experience, Asian ambitions of the project and on the possibilities of search architecture back to the West.
The Beijing News: Asian experience specifically refers to what?
Aolei·sheren: I have long lived and worked in Asia, and both want to work in this context and would like to jump out. Challenge mode is developing new forms to explore new possibilities for architecture. My cultural roots and background in Europe, but I think I'm getting asianization of understanding and perception.
Asia is a place with different culture, I saw a mixed Asian country the possibility of developing new architectural forms.
Newspaper: even the prospect of Asian architecture in Beijing now has more appeal to you?
Aolei·sheren: while I lived in Beijing for nearly 9 years, but I understand China as early as 20 years ago. I witnessed many changes, such as the shift from a labour-intensive to mainly based on creativity. This change will bring benefits, of course, but I believe that China will be able to complete the shift. This is my set up their own architectural practice in Hong Kong and Beijing headquarters of the cause. We want to crack into a creative centre and contribute their part.

新京报讯 (记者 李健亚)日前，世界高层都市建筑学会“2013年度高层建筑奖”评选在美国芝加哥揭晓。中央电视台新址大楼在60余个入围项目中脱颖而出，获得最高奖——2013年度全球最佳高层建筑奖。央视大楼主建筑师奥雷·舍人(Ole Scheeren)称，获得这一奖项是对北京地标建筑的认可，同时央视大楼也是亚洲高层建筑的一个宣言。
世界高层都市建筑学会专注于高层建筑和未来城市的设计与建设，提出了对高层建筑高度测量的国际标准，同时也是授予“世界最高建筑”头衔的仲裁者。
对于央视大楼的此次获奖，世界高层都市建筑学会评委指出，央视大楼是一个不寻常的摩天楼类型。不同于传统的高楼只能在高空中两维飙升比拼高度和特色，央视大楼的“环线”在空中伸出一个75米长的悬臂，形成一个真正三维空间的体验。评委会进一步指出，如今大家都在追问“摩天楼是什么？可以做什么和应该做什么”，而央视大楼集中回答了此类期待，已经成为高层建筑设计思考过程的一部分。
央视大楼设计方为建筑师雷姆·库哈斯主持的荷兰大都会建筑事务所。施工期长达八年，是国内最大的钢结构单体建筑。作为雷姆·库哈斯大都会建筑事务所的前任总监和合伙人，奥雷·舍人在当时主管亚洲项目，是央视大楼主建筑师。对于此次获奖，奥雷·舍人在接受新京报专访中指出，获得这一奖项是对北京的一个地标建筑的认可，这个认可来自于一百年前发明了摩天楼的国度和城市：美国和芝加哥。

央视大楼从痴迷于高度竞赛、自成一统的过往的摩天大楼模式中杀将出来，形成现代的追求雕塑感和空间感、成为城市天际线一部分的高层建筑。其令人惊叹的形式强大而又充满张力，仿佛几股力量朝各方拉伸，预示着大楼所容纳的多元功能，以及这个国家在世界舞台上的角色。独特的建筑设计与北京的传统建筑风格形成鲜明的对比，但绝对不会被同质化以及归类。

“央视大楼是亚洲高层建筑的一个宣言”
新京报：你怎么看央视大楼成为摩天楼的新代表？
奥雷·舍人：央视大楼所创造的历史是，不仅挑战高层建筑的传统，也重新定义高层建筑的新类型。在2002年当我们开始设计央视大楼时，亚洲整体的高层建筑数量超过了美国和欧洲。这样一个有趣的语境也让我们开始思考：一个亚洲的高层建筑应该是怎样的？一个高层建筑可以达到怎样的质量？从这一点说，央视大楼也是亚洲高层建筑的一个宣言。
央视大楼同时成为我个人生命中很重要的一部分，这是我住在中国并工作了十多年的原因。建造这样的大楼以及巨大复杂的工作量意味着巨大的责任，这也让我准备好了将来从东方向西方输入设计，即利用亚洲的经验，将亚洲项目的雄心和对各种可能性的探寻回馈至西方的建筑之中。
新京报：亚洲的经验具体指的是什么？
奥雷·舍人：我长期在亚洲生活工作，既想在这个语境中工作又想跳出来。挑战的方式就是开发出新的形态来探讨新的建筑可能性。我的文化根源和背景在欧洲，但我想我现在的理解和感知都变得越来越亚洲化。
亚洲是个有着不同文化的地方，我看到了在多元混合的亚洲国度里开发出新的建筑形态的可能性。
新京报：现在北京甚至亚洲建筑的前景对你有更多的吸引力吗？
奥雷·舍人：虽然我在北京生活了近9年，但我早在20年前便了解中国。我见证了它的很多变化，诸如从一个劳动密集型转向了以创意为主。这种转变当然不会是一蹴而就的事，但我相信中国能够完成这种转变。这便是我在香港和北京建立自己建筑事务所总部的原因。我们希望为这两地成为创意中心而贡献自己的一份力。
