戏剧性的开场


美国东部时间11月7日上午,微博的‘洋师傅’Twitter在纽约证券交易所正式挂牌上市。早晨9:20左右,Twitter的三位联合创始人(Jack Dorsey, Biz Stone, Evan Williams)以及CEO Dick Costolo就悉数到场,跟4个蝙蝠侠似的,那叫一个神采奕奕啊!可就在大家瞪着眼睛翘首企盼这4位西装革领的绅士走上敲钟台时,映入大家眼帘的却是一个颇为‘奇葩’的组合,咦?!。场内顿时阵阵骚动,这哪来的老中青三代啊(请大家看图)。原来,左边的中年女性是位来自波士顿的警官;中间的小女孩今年9岁,她在一个柠檬水摊位工作,所有赚来的前全数用来对抗奴隶制;最右边的光头老爷爷是英国有名的演员Patrick Steward。现场有很多媒体朋友当时都直犯嘀咕,Patrick跑上面干嘛去啦,呵呵。

大家淡定!上市前的两天,小编也没闲着,集中采访了硅谷多位科技大拿和投资人士,集中大家的观点,汇集在此,绝对实事求是!


1.是否看好Twitter上市?Twitter值得投资吗?


80%以上的受访者看好Twitter上市,认为Twitter绝对会不负所望。有投资人认为,Twitter会比Facebook和LinkedIn更为成功,因为前者抓到了最要紧的‘兴趣图谱’(interest graph),这远比后两者的‘社交图谱’(social graph)更具潜质。有人提到,今天的Twitter虽然不曾盈利,但是我们可以从中看到LinkedIn和亚马逊的影子;投资人会从中收获得到重磅回报。Twitter的营收增长在接下来的12个月会达到85%,从5.35亿到9.9亿。Facebook上市时,也不过就是被预测出36%的营收增幅(12个月的区间)。此外,Twitter的移动业务增长迅猛,它为移动而生,这点毋庸置疑。


当然啦,余下的20%受访者对于Twitter上市持中立态度,认为其广告解决方案的盈利挑战是个‘永恒的主题’。此外,多位受访者提到,Twitter在广告方面的创新还有待加强。此外,互联网,尤其是社交网络,属于瞬息万变的那种,用户自己都搞不清明天自己会需要什么,喜欢什么;更有意义的网站/平台还在层出不穷,Twitter面临的挑战不比任何人小。此外,不少受访者质疑Twitter如此高的估值。绝大多数公司的估值大概是过去一年总营收的6-7倍,这比较合理;而Twitter现在的估值是后年营收预测的15倍,有点忒不靠谱,泡沫恐来也。


2. Twitter的盈利模式靠谱不?现存的广告解决方案etc。


过半数的受访者认为,Twitter的广告解决方案虽然没能让公司盈利,但依然可圈可点;总比传统媒体和新浪微博的广告投放方式靠谱、人性吧?!靠广告赚钱(本来就无可厚非),无非就是在打广告的前提下,尽量不伤害用户体验,你还指望有多少创新呢!不管是PC还是移动,Twitter已经做得不错,并且还在积极探索。


余下约40%的受访者则认为,Twitter目前的盈利模式依然不能打动他们。


3. Twitter这么HOT,对新浪微博意味着什么?


所有受访者都认为,Twitter上市获得成功会对新浪微博产生积极影响。


但是超过8成受访者同时认为(明眼人都知道),Twitter跟新浪微博在属性上早已不同;前者专注‘新闻’,后者侧重‘社交’。Twitter的竞争对手是Facebook,但两者更像是占领了两个不一样的阵营。新浪微博则不同,它的竞争对手是社交老大微信,面临的竞争压力远比Twitter大很多。但是这样的故事,美国一般的投资人也不一定理解,他们眼中,新浪微博就是中国的Twitter翻版,所以,新浪微博至少可以接着卖Twitter卖剩下的这个,关于‘新闻革命’的美丽神话,呵呵。


小编点评:尽管此前质疑不断,但是‘30倍的超额认购’,‘疯了一样的股价’不会撒谎。昙花一现也好,泡沫也罢,Twitter的成功上市实则一场酣畅淋漓的‘新闻革命’。历史上头一遭,大家齐心协力,通过Twitter一起直播Twitter的IPO(小编被今早Twitter上的直播盛况震撼住了,那真是关于#TwitterIPO'的全民新闻大联播’啊!)咳咳,自媒体和社交化媒体的大时代来也。


很可惜,这场革命并不属于中国人的‘新浪微博’。当然啦,市场反应如何,还得看投资人买谁的帐!
