不过到2014年，联发科在研发方面的投入将会增加到300亿新台币，约合10.2美元，因为联发科预计2014年的营业额有望同比增加15-25%，也就是1495-1625亿新台币之间。
联发科明年计划推出最少6款全新的智能手机处理器，包括2款八核心、2款四核心、1款双核心和1款单核心处理器。此外，在平板电脑领域，联发科还将推出不少于6款新型号的处理器。
