宣传短片时长3分21秒，片中5位帅气的消防员以山海关、北戴河海边、昌黎的公路、消防车、战士宿舍为背景，在快节奏音乐的伴随下大摆pose，跳起萌系集体舞，在短片后半段，消防员还用搞笑的形式对消防车道严禁占用、易燃易爆场所严禁吸烟等消防提示进行了表现。片中还有消防员展示如何使用灭火器的内容，一些网友表示“很长知识”、“终于知道怎么用灭火器了”……
据秦皇岛市公安消防支队宣传科科长孙永强介绍，该片创意之初，就是想用大家喜闻乐见的形式、年轻人容易接受的方式拍一个宣传片，来为正在开展的秦皇岛市“消防志愿者百千万发展计划”（通过百场消防培训、千次消防演练发展万名消防志愿者和消防公益事业爱好者）造势。在119消防宣传日前推出，是希望民众能在娱乐当中乐于接受、主动接受消防知识。
孙永强还告诉记者，自己也没想到网友会说这段消防舞很萌。该片10月中旬开始拍摄，用时很短就完成了制作，秦皇岛市两支消防志愿者团队义务参与了演出与拍摄。
