据介绍，对灾害性报道等涉及社会公共秩序的信息，新浪微博采取严格管控措施，严防不实信息扰乱公共秩序。在今年辽宁抚顺、广东汕头水灾中，新浪微博社区在接到网友举报后，迅速查证，及时处置了一批以2008年汶川地震和菲律宾台风灾害的新闻图片冒充灾害现场、谎报灾害死亡人数等的不实信息，并对发布用户处以禁言等处罚措施，维护救灾秩序。

根据《社区公约》，用户间的侵权行为可以通过在线举报完成。目前，新浪微博接到的个人用户投诉举报中，最常见的类型有网络人身攻击、泄露隐私等侵权行为。在对机构用户的投诉中，冒用机构名义的投诉量最大。

据了解，新浪微博《社区公约》目前详细规定了对各种违规行为的处理方式。对于发布不实信息的账号，除了标注相关微博外，还会根据该微博的转发次数进行不同程度的处罚。微博转发100次以上，账号将被禁言7天，禁被关注7天，并扣减信用积分5分；微博转发1000次以上，账号将被禁言15天，禁被关注15天，并扣减信用积分10分；情节恶劣或后果严重的，最重将被处以冻结账号的处罚。对于人身攻击等用户纠纷类的举报，除了删除侵权违规内容、扣减信用积分外，情节严重的也会对相关违规账号处以禁言、禁被关注直至冻结账号等处罚。
