People respond to the Chinese become electives is respect for the individual

People respond to Chinese become electives that respects the individual | | | University of the people's Congress _ Chinese news

Beijing authorities wide nets, November 14 (Xinhua Xiaoyuan) aspect ratio, according to voice of the news reports, in College, do you love to learn Chinese? Your Chinese course in College? Do you think College Chinese lessons on how to attract you? In recent days, cancel the compulsory elective courses to the University, people's University, makes everyone rethink these issues.

Thing is controversial because Beijing, high profile statements at the time greatly improved language tests, the college entrance examination scores, as a leading Humanities University, why make such a choice?

Flash point, is a graduate of the school in an article posted online a little more slowly, people of the internationalization of the University. CCTV reporters interview with the author of this article.

At the Renmin University campus, students used University, also known as Han. Although this man recently was "hit hard", but behind the students, there are:

Boy: I think that compulsory schooling is necessary, turned it into an elective is not going to work, because the show is not emphasis on college Chinese.

Female student: I think the school could be considered one's class, more freedom for everyone, I really want to learn this course students, also will continue to choose elective course.

Published on the Internet a little more slowly: Renmin University Renmin University the internationalization of postgraduate seniors Wang Kun, naturally, "Wuhan" as well.

In late October, a student at the renren, status, said a teacher told him, later University does not, and how much the teacher is very depressed. Everybody will know the news, were also identified, said University really did not have. Until the end of October, the school and the Dean's Office has responded, University next semester elective course. It is a process, because our message is not symmetrical.

Wang Kun says, precisely because it cannot be full and detailed answer, only the title of the article misconceptions:

Wang Kun: because you canceled the Chinese, English is still look like that, so we assume this is a means of internationalization? Now I feel that they may be a bit misunderstood.

But for college Chinese course, Wang Kun's attitude is very clear:

Wang Kun: College Chinese courses, it is basic and not interested in expanding class, can't say they don't want on the up, it is the base, were required.

Wang Kun, College, won't open course, is a matter of principle:

Wang Kun: when you open a course, actually showing this school on this course or of a particular aspect of an identity, this is more significant than the course itself.

For students, the courses do not, is a matter of attitudes:

Wang Kun: a lot of people think so, to stage Chinese is not based at a University. I wanted to ask who hold these views now, lets you write 800-word essay will be scratching his head, wrote a letter to others simply can't write the letterhead, your language education is successful, please?

Of course, not everyone supported the views Wang Kun. The dilemma facing University, is very illustrative. Earlier this year, the Hubei Provincial College Chinese Research Association published a survey of college Chinese course results. 91 universities, 40% will not be listed as a required course of college Chinese, class is gradually decreasing.

College Chinese became the only two credits of elective courses, because looking for work do not require language rating, named as the title research on Chinese, so, in the view of some, in college language it doesn't work.

Wang Kun: this is a fickle phenomenon in society as a whole, this is not our national people's Congress, or University of this one thing, but to our entire society to reflect on, on some issues, we were too utilitarian, a lot of things have to work quickly or be sure works for me, I'm going to do.

Interview at the end of this 90-born lad, said such things:

Wang Kun: I would like to get some of you thinking, collision, contending that some of the thinking process, differences, because there are only differences, there will only be consensus. I think this thing out, quite a large number of people at least get renewed attention in college Chinese course for the community, as well as other colleges and universities, to focus on this thing, because concerns itself, is a way of promoting problem-solving.

Recently, the Renmin University student news release on the Web, through communication and consultation, next semester, the NPC will continue to set up Chinese language courses at the University, classified to the category of elective courses, courses for 2 credits. Later responded by saying yesterday the school, College Chinese class is not equal to the mother-tongue education, compulsory elective teaching does not mean weakening, the reform will further promote mother-tongue education in college Chinese teaching.

School authorities also said, the purpose of the reform is to respect individual differences in students ' learning to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Make such adjustments, not about "internationalization", but only because students ' enthusiasm for this course is not high, multiple curriculum evaluation ranking only second from the back.

Enthusiasm is not high to take? We attach importance to the Chinese language teaching, on teaching methods, teaching methods, we find causes of low student enthusiasm and thus improve it?

College Chinese from compulsory to optional, what schools do not pay attention to mother-tongue teaching, students do not care about learning in the mother tongue? College Chinese course reform would weaken education in their mother tongue? To solve these problems, head of the publicity Department of the University of the people, the school will hold a press conference in the near future, media and public opinion of these queries, respond and answer them all.
