罗国安说，此外，由于许多老人身体状况并不太好，老人们还应详细了解当地医疗、保健、学习、交友等社会配套情况，既避免因配套设施不完善引发意外事件发生，又避免过多人群涌入造成对当地生态环境的破坏。
四川大学休闲与旅游研究中心主任杨振之说，随着老龄化程度逐渐加深，北方人到南方“越冬游”将成为旅游业一大趋势，南方应加大公共服务和基础设施方面的投入，包括污水收集管道、垃圾处理设备、公共交通服务等各方面建设，以满足发展需求。
