上述Tizen设备的规格划分来自三星及其合作伙伴作出的决定，三星认为不同规格可面向不同的目标市场，尤其是针对目前绝对具有统治地位的Android系统。Tizen Mobile Lite无疑定位发展中国家市场，比如印度和其他亚洲和非洲国家，只要做到确保体验流畅和功能完整即可，成功占领此类市场成本控制至关重要。
据了解，Tizen 3.0完整版将于2014年第三季度发布，三星则计划在Tizen 3.0版本中引入多帐号、使用Intel和ARM的64位架构，全新的3D渲染引擎以及更有趣的功能。
令人意外的是，第一款正式亮相的Tizen 3.0设备并非是之前传闻的RedWood旗舰手机，而是型号为NX300M的智能数码相机。据了解，NX300M智能数码相机已经于上月在韩国本土上市发售。三星高级副总裁Jong-Deok Choi表示，三星NX300M是首款Tizen平台上的智能设备，使用Tizen核心技术，和其他基于Linux的相机相比较性能提升两倍，拍摄性能更是达到了2000万的传感器，支持每秒9张连拍功能。
