酒后驾车，酿成多起事故
1977年出生的刘某，是宁晋县大陆村镇常家庄二村人，案发前任宁晋县苏家庄乡高庄窠乡直司法所长。
2012年5月11日21时许，刘某酒后驾驶黑色吉利轿车从宁晋县城宁辉花园回常家庄村，当行驶至赵宁线59公里处时，与同向行驶的裴某驾驶的二轮摩托车相撞，造成裴某受伤。后刘某驾车向东逃逸，驶出200米左右，与张某驾驶的无牌照二轮摩托车相撞，造成张某死亡。后刘某驾车拖挂张某的二轮摩托车继续向东逃逸，到赵宁线约57公里处，拖挂的摩托车脱落，与刘某驾驶的轿车分离。刘某驾车继续向东逃逸，行驶到刘路村村西高速桥西侧时又与同向行驶的李素君、刘伶淼骑乘的电动自行车相撞，造成李素君、刘伶淼两人当场死亡。此起悲剧发生的同时，刘某又与李某驾驶的轿车相撞，相撞后又向东行驶50米左右停下，刘某弃车逃逸。
经法医鉴定，李素君、刘伶淼、张某系车祸致颅脑损伤死亡，裴某属轻伤。
后根据刘某在看守所供述，在上述悲剧发生之前，一辆同向行驶的大货车车斗右后部与其轿车左前部相挂，大货车没有停，刘某就去追。之后就是连环悲剧的发生，车辆失控后与高速桥南侧水泥栏杆相撞方停下，“我担心被打，熄火拔出钥匙后下车向东跑了。”

依据相关规定，刘某犯以危险方法危害公共安全罪，判处死刑，缓期两年执行，剥夺政治权利终身。刘某弟弟犯包庇罪，判处有期徒刑两年。刘某同时赔偿涉及到李素君和刘伶淼的丧葬费及亲属抚养费共计70002元。
悲剧发生，多个家庭破碎
据悉，案发后，刘某家属与被害人裴某、张某家属达成赔偿协议，取得裴某及张某家属的谅解，赔偿裴某1.5万元，赔偿张某家属22.5万元。同时，刘某向李素君、刘伶淼家属支付5万元丧葬费。
但对于李素君和刘伶淼的家人来讲，迈过这个坎儿或许仍需时间。
记者了解到，李素君与刘伶淼为婆媳关系，因为当时儿媳刘伶淼怀有5个月身孕，婆婆李素君当晚决定骑电动车带其回家。没想到，悲剧发生。
李素君丈夫的哥哥雷建伟告诉记者，该悲剧给这个家庭带来难以言状的打击。第一次庭审后第2天，七旬母亲逝世。“我母亲一直在乡下与李素君一家生活，感情很深。”刘伶淼的丈夫也在近日刚刚上班，他说，“我们结婚还不到两年，妻子平时很少出门。”
据雷建伟介绍，在民事赔偿和包庇量刑方面，他们已提出上诉。
