　　据爱知县稻泽市议会议长野村英治透露，市议会于14日下午2时左右接到日外务省有关樱木琢磨被捕的消息。野村表示，樱木琢磨除担任市议员外，还经营着一家贸易公司，他于10月29日前往中国出差，并计划于31日返回日本。然而直到11月5日，市议会才从其家人处获悉，“一直未再露面的樱木因工作上出现问题，滞留在了中国”。
