　　2013年5月初，南昌市京东派出所民警在工作中发现该案线索。

　　经调查，南昌市青山湖警方发现，自2010年开始，该团伙从广东、浙江等地购买国家禁止添加的物品，先后在广东、江西生产加工成有害身体安全的“减肥药”、“壮阳药”胶囊半成品后卖到湖南、新疆等地，甚至还远销海外。

　　经过一个多月的调查，100余名南昌民警展开抓捕行动，现场在违法窝点查处“减肥药”和“壮阳药”药剂胶囊成品超过500万粒，用于非法生产的原料重达约3吨，国家明令禁止用于食品添加的物品约20余桶。同时查封用于非法生产的生产流水线四条，机器设备四台。
