　　据了解，火灾发生后，当地领导、300余名武警官兵、200余名政法干警、2000余名干部职工、僧侣及农牧民群众和20余辆消防车及大型机械用具投入到扑救工作中。17日凌晨2时，现场的群众已被全部疏散。经过6个多小时的奋战，中心大殿火情没有蔓延，确保了与其毗邻的宗喀巴大殿、释迦牟尼大殿、寺庙后勤室及僧房的安全。

　　截至11月17日凌晨4时，中心大殿火灾得到控制，在大殿内的堪布等8名僧侣及时得到救援。同时，大部分文物得到及时转移，无一遗失。截止到目前，此次火灾无人员伤亡，财产损失正在进一步调查统计中。

　　同时，经州县联合调查组调查取证，初步认定此次火灾原因为中心大殿二楼会客厅电器线路短路引起火灾。

　　长青春科尔寺又称理塘寺。建于1580年，是康区历史最悠久、规模最大的藏传佛教黄教寺庙，是康巴地区藏传佛教格鲁派的圣地、四川省重点文物保护单位。
