中国驻菲大使馆经济商务参赞吴政平18日赶到宿务麦克坦国际机场迎接这批救灾物资并与菲方办理交接事宜。代表菲方接收救灾物资的菲律宾社会福利部官员雅巴加特女士在接受记者采访时对中国政府为菲国台风灾民提供救灾物资表示感谢。
雅巴加特女士表示，菲灾区许多民众房屋在台风中被毁，流离失所，非常高兴中国政府能提供灾民目前急需的帐篷和毛毯，这对失去家园的菲律宾家庭“非常有用”。
她还透露，会尽快联系军方用C130运输机或船只把中国援助的救灾物资调运到塔克洛班等地重灾区。
吴政平参赞则向记者表示，现在菲律宾台风灾区的灾情非常严重，很多灾民没有地方住，中国政府提供的救灾物资主要包括灾民急需的帐篷和毛毯，是考虑到了菲国台风灾区的实际需要。(完)
