据了解，截至目前，吉林省出动警力6000余人次、警车1600余台次，查处交通违法行为3771起。共发生道路交通事故8起，死亡4人，受伤7人。
11月16日至18日，吉林省大部分地区出现雨夹雪转大雪甚至暴雪天气，涉及范围广、持续时间长，给广大人民群众出行带来极大不便。吉林省公安厅立即启动应急预案。吉林交警充分应用科技手段，增加流动测速点或采取区间测速措施，重点查处超速超员违法行为。对降雪、结冰严重路段采取警车带道、限制车型、分段放行等措施，控制机动车车速。
目前，吉林省各地公安交警部门采取公路24小时的勤务模式，延长执勤时间，巡逻车辆配备急救箱、电瓶连线、防滑链等救援设施，加强车辆疏导和群众救援。各旅游景区交警部门全部实行为外地车辆提供引导、护送服务机制，保证安全通过险路险段。各主要城市在早晚高峰时期，上下学时段，在主要路口、中小学门前设置增勤务岗，对学生车辆采取护送措施，路口执勤民警利用红灯等候时间为车辆前后窗玻璃除雪，保障驾驶员视线清晰。
