According to foreign media reports, the United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron (David Cameron) in July this year has issued notice to Google and other Internet companies asking them to shield search results that contain child pornography. Own Bing search engine and Yahoo Search supports Microsoft also today pledged to introduce similar restrictions initiative.

谷歌方面今天透露，该公司在过去三个月里已经投入超过200名员工，致力于开发新技术，以在搜索结果中屏蔽指向儿童色情内容的链接。
谷歌总裁埃里克-施密特(Eric Schmidt)在英国媒体《每日邮报》(Daily Mail)上撰文表示，该公司已经对搜索算法进行调整，清除了超过10万条疑似指向儿童性侵犯内容的搜索结果。
不过施密特也表示，屏蔽儿童色情内容没有捷径可走。目前的算法无法分辨出儿童色情内容和类似儿童洗澡的无辜内容，所以很多工作需要人工完成。
施密特还表示，YouTube工程师同样开发出了类似的技术，用于分辨出含有不良内容的视频。非法视频将会被标注出来，所有的副本文件将被移除，这一技术已经通过测试。
另外谷歌还会显示来自谷歌公司本身和其他慈善机构的警示信息，告诉用户儿童性侵犯是非法的，也告诉他们在哪里可以寻求到帮助。
拥有Bing搜索引擎并为雅虎提供搜索支持的微软公司，也同样在今天保证将会推出类似的限制举措。
