最近关于红米二代的新闻不少，此前曾有消息称，红米二代将会配备联发科八核处理器MT6592以及5.5寸屏幕。但最新传闻称，这款传言中的红米二代搭载的并非是真八核处理器MT6592，而是MT6592的四核版本MT6588，这又是怎么回事呢？

据悉，联发科MT6588处理器采用28纳米制程工艺，基于cortex A7构架，主频达1.7Ghz，内建ARM MALI-450MP4，最高支持1200万摄像头和1080P的视频录制，最高支持1280×800的分辨率。并且将支持多种网络制式。。从说明图可知，MT6588处理器可算是MT6592八核处理器的四核版本，两者的区别在于，MT6588的GPU的主频600MHz，而MT6592的主频为700MHz。

相关人士分析，采用MT6592真八核的红米二代要在明年4、5月份才会推出，而小米将于近期推出的MT6588四核版红米只能算是红米1的升级版--红米1S。因为红米二代必采用真八核才能达到小米公司需要的巨大惊喜的目的，且为时太早，小米近期推出一款小米1S也算是权宜之计。

按照小米定价惯例，可能无论是红米1S还是明年的红米二代，仍将延续当前红米手机的799元的售价。
