Liu yandong attended the Sino-US dialogue on early childhood development commitment to cut poverty between generations

她说，提高全社会儿童意识，为儿童创造适合成长的环境，越来越成为国际社会的共识。中美虽然国情不同，但保障儿童优先、促进社会公平的理念和目标是一致的，拥有广阔的合作空间，无论中国梦还是美国梦，促进儿童发展都是不可或缺的内容。
刘延东称，两国要把儿童早期教育作为人文交流的重要内容，加强交流对话，不仅会造福两国儿童，还可以为其他国家提供借鉴。希望双方相互尊重、求同存异，搭建对话平台，拓宽交流渠道，共同探讨儿童发展理念、方法和政策，希望两国学者和研究机构围绕儿童早期发展前沿问题，开展联合攻关，不断深化对理念认识与实践研究。
希拉里·克林顿表示，我很荣幸与刘延东女士一起合作，虽然我们合作的一些内容没能成为媒体的头条，但毫无疑问代表了两国合作的大趋势。我对中国致力于促进儿童发展的努力表示赞赏，儿童早期发展是回报率最高的投资，有助于实现经济长期增长。
希拉里说，作为两个大国，中美当然会有不同，我们期望双方通过对话沟通解决分歧，这很大程度上取决于两国的教育，也与儿童教育相关。
