鲁迅写信对象———陶亢德
陶亢德何许人也？他是民国时期著名的出版人、编辑家，先后任《生活》周刊编辑、《论语》杂志主编、《人世间》编辑，使他在上世纪30年代的期刊界崭露头角，结识了文坛上众多的成名作家，同时通晓五六种语言。1935年9月16日，陶亢德与林语堂共同出资创办《宇宙风》半月刊，在上海创立人间书屋。值得一提的是，他曾经是林语堂在文学和办刊业务上的左膀右臂。其余如周作人、老舍、郁达夫、丰子恺、朱自清、郭沫若等一大批成名作家，都在这个时候与陶有过亲密接触。

据悉，拍出天价的这封信，是鲁迅先生于1934年6月8日写给陶亢德的，鲁迅在信中讨论了关于学习日语的一些建议和看法。鲁迅先生曾留学日本，精通日语、德语，粗通俄语、英语，这篇关于学习日语的短文对后学者具有很强的指导性，甚而可看作是一篇关于语言学习的经典文献。

鲁迅的一封信竟然这么值钱，相信鲁迅当年做梦都想不到，但这样的世事，又有谁能料到呢，就像网友“沪上周言”所说：“早知道这么值钱，那些年就该天天给鲁迅写信并等回信……”成都商报记者昨天联系到中国嘉德古籍善本部高级业务经理宋皓，她介绍说，这件拍品是从一位收藏家中好不容易征集来的。不过只看鲁迅的手稿信札的拍卖并不能窥看名人信札的拍卖行情，由于鲁迅的这类作品存世的并不多，市场表现抢眼属于意料之中。
宋皓表示，其实本次秋拍还有另外两份名人信札的成交不俗，一是陈独秀致陶亢德的书札，是1937年陈独秀出狱后，写给时任《宇宙风》杂志编辑陶亢德的，信中谈及撰写《实庵自传》的事，还提及准备移居四川，以及往后的联络工作安排，前天拍出230万的价格。另外一份则是李大钊致夫人吴若男的书札，当天拍出了414万的高价。这封信是李大钊旅居上海期间，因“急思返京”、但又“冗务纠牵”、“客中无事”，“从日本书肆购得一书名曰《早期教育与天才》，读之颇有趣味”，故此写信介绍给吴若男，全信共7页，2890字，用钢笔书写。

亢德先生：长期的日语学校，我不知道。我的意见，是以为日文只要能看论文就好了，因为他们绍介得快。至于读文艺，却实在有些得不偿失。他们的新语、方言，常见于小说中，而没有完备的字典，只能问日本人，这可就费事了，然而又没有伟大的创作，补偿我们外国读者的劳力。
学日本文要到能够看小说，且非一知半解，所需的时间和力气，我觉得并不亚于学一种欧洲文字，然而欧洲有大作品。先生何不将预备学日文的力气，学一种西文呢？
