11月17日晚，海门中学2014年北大中学校长实名推荐、清华大学新百年领军计划候选人面试在校内举行，20名候选人参与。
面试开始，校长石鑫给出了一个近来的热点话题“雾霾”，并连发三问：你了解雾霾吗？你认为雾霾可以消除吗？如果可以消除的话有哪些方法？这还是必答题。
潘奕飞表现相当出众。不仅阐释了雾霾出现的原因，还给出了详细的解决方案，他认为，可以从四个方面进行——减煤、控车、降尘以及每个公民都有自己的责任。
他表示，金山银山要有，青山绿水更要有。要通过自己的行动来影响周围的人和这个社会。
孝敬父母：个个都是贴心“小棉袄”
在此次选拔中，所有的参与学生，都必须是校“文明中学生”。而“文明学生”必须做到：“孝敬父母、尊重长辈。”三位入选者做得怎么样？现代快报记者一一采访了他们的父母。
樊乃嘉的妈妈说，女儿就是个贴心“小棉袄”。“嘉嘉很细心，去年她爸爸过生日时，嘉嘉特意用平时攒的钱买了一辆自行车模型送给爸爸。我们问她怎么会选择这个礼物，嘉嘉说小时候爸爸经常骑自行车带着她去很多地方，这是她和爸爸共同的回忆。”
在潘奕飞获得的众多荣誉中，潘爸爸最开心的是孩子获得2012年“南通市美德少年”这个荣誉。
陆杰是来自农村的孩子，在学校里学习勤奋，懂得感恩老师。不太善言辞的陆妈妈表示，儿子特别懂事、孝顺，虽然学习很忙，但平时回到家，总是抢着帮妈妈做事。
现代快报记者了解到，这三名学生都是海门中学平时成绩名列前茅的，并且都是理科竞赛高奖项获得者，也都担任了学校的学生干部，在学习之余乐于服务同学。
