Zhu xiaodan said the FTA will assume the task of deepening the reform in Guangdong Province, including greater decentralization, more drastic reform of the administrative examination and approval, market access, commercial registration, customs control, inspection and quarantine, and other management systems, introduction of uniform market surveillance, speed up the establishment of the rule of law and international business environment.

朱小丹表示，广东方面已就自贸区的选址、范围、定位、任务和政策等进行了超过半年的深入调研和系统论证，并与香港、澳门特区政府进行了初步接洽和沟通，广泛征求国家有关部门意见，力求拿出切合广东实际、切实可行的建设方案。
朱小丹透露，自由贸易区将承担广东深化改革的任务，包括更充分地简政放权，更大力度地改革行政审批、市场准入、商事登记、海关监管、检验检疫等管理制度，实行统一的市场监管，加快建立法治化、国际化营商环境。
