从GDP总量上来看，前三季度GDP总量最大的是广东省，为44471.53亿元；江苏紧随其后，为41934.3亿元；西藏排名倒数第一，仅为575.73亿元。
与全国前三季度7.7%的增速相比，除了北京和上海的增速与全国持平外，其余29个地区的增速均超过了全国水平。

国家统计局数据显示，今年前三季度GDP为386762亿元。而31个省份前三季度的GDP总和为439533.07亿元，超过全国总量52771.07亿元。各省份GDP数据之和与全国总量出现“打架”情况。
对此，中国人民大学财政金融学院副院长赵锡军此前在接受中新网记者采访时表示，各地GDP汇总之和高出全国的情况其实一直存在，重复统计以及统计“误差”是导致数据不一的主要原因。
