习近平在贺信中指出，中越两国山水相连，两国人民感情深厚。毛泽东主席和胡志明主席等老一辈领导人亲自缔造和精心培育的“同志加兄弟”的中越传统友谊已经深深扎根于两国人民心中。按照“长期稳定、面向未来、睦邻友好、全面合作”的十六字方针和“好邻居、好朋友、好同志、好伙伴”的“四好精神”发展两国关系，实现中越世代友好，符合两国和两国人民根本利益，也是两国人民共同愿望。

中共中央政治局委员、中国国家副主席李源潮，越共中央政治局委员、越南祖国阵线中央委员会主席阮善仁出席联欢大会并分别致辞。
联欢大会举行了以“青春、友谊、梦想”为主题的文艺演出，近万名中越青年载歌载舞，表达了中越人民期盼世代友好的美好心愿。
中联部、外交部、共青团中央、广西壮族自治区有关负责同志参加了上述活动。
