但对于“教育学院执行院长胡娟被免职与协助调查”的消息，校方并未给出明确回应。
中国人民大学官网显示，招生就业处是负责学校普通本科层次招生、所有在校生就业和学籍管理工作以及招生、就业、学籍管理相关研究工作的学校职能部门，下设综合办公室、本科招生办公室、就业办公室和学籍管理办公室。
巡视组收到反映领导干部问题线索

今年9月26日，巡视组向人民大学领导班子和在职校务委员会成员反馈了巡视情况。巡视组组长陈际瓦指出，人大在党风廉政建设和反腐败方面，惩防体系建设特别是财务管理、领导干部薪酬管理、自主招生等方面存在薄弱环节；在执行中央“八项规定”和作风建设方面，出国管理不规范，公款吃喝、送礼现象依然存在；在执行民主集中制和干部选拔任用方面，一段时间里党委领导下的校长负责制贯彻不够到位，干部任用和管理不尽规范。此外，干部职工还反映学校存在行政化色彩较浓、科研经费管理不规范、传统的办学优势和特色存在弱化倾向等问题。
陈际瓦当时还透露：“巡视组还收到一些反映领导干部的问题线索，已按规定移交中央纪委、中央组织部和有关部门处理。”
