本月26日，一条有关人民大学招生就业处处长蔡荣生持假护照出境被截的消息在网上流传。经财新记者多方了解，该传言基本属实。与此同时，曾任校长秘书的教育学院执行院长胡娟亦被免职。
从2010年开始，网上即有大量举报材料指向蔡荣生，称其利用自主招生、提前录取等机会收受贿赂；对胡娟的质疑则指向其私人关系、学术造假。而胡娟和蔡荣生均被看做是前校长纪宝成的“嫡系部队”。
网络传言称，蔡荣生出逃前留书讲述纪宝成的“违法事实”。但据了解，纪宝成目前仍在正常讲课。
人民大学官方对财新记者回应称，尚未接到任何正式通报，但在密切关注相关信息。
