现场指挥部市政维护组相关负责人员介绍，截至29日，事发区域市容逐渐恢复好转。连日来，有关部门每日在事发现场投入约1500人(其中部队500人)，各类设备200余台，支设了5300多米围挡，清理了5900米道路，清运土石方约15900立方米，全部清理了被损毁的车辆共95台。
截至29日，刘公岛路正在施工，大约1个月内可完成，崇明岛路则已经简易恢复交通。沿街受损楼房正在全面组织维修。拆除了28个损坏路灯，除事发封闭路段，其余路段照明已经恢复正常。
据介绍，目前，与群众生产生活密切相关的事发区域多种市政公用设施功能已经恢复。其中，到25日17时，供电、环卫、供水、供气、供暖已经先后恢复。目前，有关人员已经对事故爆炸点附近约9900米管道进行了检查，并进行了全区域燃气入户安全检查和地下管线、污水泵站巡检，维持其正常运行。
据事故现场指挥部市政维护组有关负责人介绍，截至29日17时，指挥部在海陆环保处置中，已经累计回收吸油毡、吸油拖缆约280吨，转移含水污油约200吨，事故造成的陆上暗渠和海上油污已经得到有效控制。
