南都记者还逐一核查了网帖中提到的疑为林伟忠名下的多套物业。其中，厚街康乐北路明珠花园物管人员证实，该小区B 10号高档别墅的业主正是厚街党委委员林伟忠。物管人员称，同款别墅目前售价至少超过六百万元。厚街珊瑚路123号真功夫快餐店服务员亦证实快餐店所在物业系林伟忠所有。某电信运营商厚街营业厅负责人则透露曾租用林伟忠在厚街康乐北路的一栋物业作为办公地点，而后因为该物业有一些历史遗留问题没有解决，双方解除了租约。厚街新塘村委会一负责人则证实厚街家具大道9号欧陆商务酒店所在物业系林伟忠早年间以每平米4000元的价格从新塘村委会购买土地所建。此外南都记者还通过网络部门、有线电视部门、水电部门，查到林伟忠名下的塘坑小组民房、富康楼等多套物业。这些已查证的物业根据满堂红等房产中介商估算，总价至少超过四千万元。
至于网帖中提到的厚街湖景一号庄园16号高档别墅、厚街文华花园高档别墅、厚街珊美大道10号等物业，南都记者暂无证据证实这些物业系林伟忠所有。不过，林伟忠物业多在厚街是出了名的。厚街一与林伟忠共事多年的官员向南都记者讲述了一个细节。该官员称，早些年，东莞更换旧版房产证时，林伟忠抱着一个硕大的矿泉水纸箱，里面全都是房产证，拿去换证，把房管所的人都惊呆了。该官员还透露，关于林伟忠的举报几年前就有过一次，只是那时候网络还没有这么发达，厚街自查自纠了一阵子，没有掌握足够的证据，之后就不了了之了。
