酒后驾车“顶格罚款”
我国2011版《道交法》规定，“饮酒后或者醉酒驾驶机动车发生重大交通事故，构成犯罪的，依法追究刑事责任，并由公安机关交通管理部门吊销机动车驾驶证，终身不得重新取得驾照”。记者注意到，湖北新交规在这方面与《道交法》保持一致，同时，在对酒驾和醉驾的经济处罚上，均按《道交法》规定的上限执行。
例如，对于酒驾，《道交法》规定罚款额度为1000元至2000元，而湖北新规规定酒驾罚款2000元，取其上限。对于醉驾，《道交法》规定处罚措施是“吊销驾照”，“追究刑事责任”，“五年禁驾”，湖北新交规沿用这一规定。
对于酒驾、醉驾涉及营运车辆的，湖北新交规作出了更重的处罚。酒驾营运车辆拘留15日，罚款5000元，吊销驾照，5年禁驾。醉驾营运车辆的，吊销驾照，追究刑事责任，10年禁驾；即使重新取得驾照，也不得驾驶营运车辆。这些规定均与《道交法》保持一致。
“套牌车”罚款达五千
《道交法》规定，伪造、变造或者使用伪造、变造的机动车登记证书、号牌、行驶证、驾驶证的，由交管部门予以收缴，扣留该机动车，处15日以下拘留，并处2000元以上5000元以下罚款，构成犯罪的，依法追究刑事责任。湖北新交规将此种情形的罚款锁定为5000元，其他内容不变。
《道交法》规定，伪造、变造或者使用伪造、变造的检验合格标志、保险标志的，交管部门将收缴标志、扣车、拘留10日以下，罚款1000元至3000元，构成犯罪的依法追究刑事责任。湖北新交规将此种情况的罚款锁定为3000元，其他内容不变。
对于“套牌车”，《道交法》规定的处罚是收缴车牌、扣车、罚款2000元至5000元。湖北新交规将此种情形的罚款锁定为5000元，其他不变。
“撞猴子”受伤不予赔偿
根据湖北新交规，机动车与非机动车或行人发生交通事故的，明确非机动车或行人负全责时，机动车一方只承担不超过10%的赔偿责任；在双方同等责任下，仍偏重于保护非机动车或行人的权益，但对类似“撞猴子”的行为则明确不予保护。湖北新交规规定：如果是非机动车或者行人故意碰撞机动车造成事故，机动车一方不承担赔偿责任。
“马路刘翔”罚款50元
湖北新交规明确规定，行人有强行扒车拦车或者抛物击车，跨越、倚坐道路隔离设施，车窗抛物等行为之一的，处警告或者罚款50元。
此外，对于单位或个人擅自施划、占用城市道路停车泊位的，湖北新交规规定由公安交通管理部门对相关责任人员处500元以上1000元以下罚款；情节严重的，处2000元以下罚款。
