中国医科大学副校长、国家卫生计生委艾滋病重点实验室主任尚红在30日的主题宣传活动中介绍，在全国艾滋病感染报告病例中，大学生感染者人数持续上升，国内15至24岁的青年学生感染者占全部艾滋病感染者的比例，已由2008年的0.9%上升到2012年的1.7%，95%的学生感染者为男生，其中70%的感染途径为男男性行为。

30日的主题宣传活动由中国健康教育中心、中国性病艾滋病防治协会、中华红丝带基金共同主办。活动中，大家共同点亮了象征参与、支持、理解、关爱的爱心红丝带。来自中国人民大学等6所在京高校的大学生志愿者代表也发起“‘零’艾滋，我们在行动”的联合承诺，呼吁更多人加入到艾滋病防治志愿者的行列中来。
