　　袁隆平以隆平种业的杂交水稻种子为例，其平均出厂价每斤在20元左右，但到了农民手里，却飙升至四五十元一斤。

　　袁隆平说，少数种植水平高的农户，一般一亩地需要种子一斤半左右，而大多数一般农户则要三斤甚至更多的种子。如果按照一斤50元计算，每亩光种子成本就要150元以上，这是阻碍杂交水稻在我国大面积推广最主要的原因之一。

　　以长沙市芙蓉区云集的水稻种业研发和生产基地为核心，湖南省已有48家制种龙头企业与各地农业合作社开展直销对接，并派出专门的技术人员对农民因地制宜加以指导，以加大杂交水稻推广力度。
