下午4点半刚过,卡梅伦来到位于天安门广场东侧的国家博物馆,一进门就见到了国务院总理李克强。随后两国总理在国博馆长吕章申的陪同下来到顶层展览大厅参观,分别欣赏了古代青铜器展区和古代佛造像展区的文物。两个展区的文物代表了古代中国人民在雕刻、美术、绘画和制造业方面的高超造诣。
在青铜展区,李克强和卡梅伦主要观看了三件分别来自于中国商代和西周时代的青铜器,三件文物的历史都超过了2500年。首先看到的是后母戊大方鼎,是国博的镇馆之宝。鼎这种器物在中国古代被誉为“国之重器”,是国家和权力的象征。两位总理在大鼎前面驻足,吕章申馆长则在一旁为他们讲解。由于离的距离比较远,记者们听不到两位总理在说什么,但是可以看到卡梅伦一直在询问着,从他脸上的表情能够看出这位英国首相对这些中国古代文物非常感兴趣。两位总理看到的另外两件青铜器是大盂鼎和子龙鼎。
在佛造像展区,吕章申馆长主要向两国总理介绍了两尊佛像,一尊是宋代的木质佛像,另一尊是来自唐代的石造佛像。两尊佛像的雕刻手法非常细腻,且栩栩如生。卡梅伦在一旁看得非常认真,听到介绍的精彩之处频频点头。参观结束后,中英总理还与在场的40多名两国的青年合影留念。
参观国博是卡梅伦本次访华安排中的一项文化活动,透露出的主要信息是中英将发展包括政治、经济、文化在内全面的关系。中英两国是都有着深厚的文化积淀和历史传统的国家。今天上午两国总理已经举行了正式会谈,主要涵盖政治、经济议题,并出席了两国经贸合作领域的签字仪式。两国总理一起参观国博的举动可以被解读为双方还重视发展中英之间的文化交流。文化交流的主要的功能是增进不同民族、人民之间的相互理解和沟通,而文化的积淀往往集中体现了一个民族的特质,包括思想、哲学等等,通过文化交流可以更好地促进人民之间的了解和信任。
