12月1日晚8点40分，张艺谋通过工作室发表公开信，就张艺谋与陈婷“超生”事件首次作出回应。声明中承认张艺谋与陈婷育有两子一女，愿意接受无锡市滨湖区计生委的调查，并对由此造成的不良影响表示歉意。
记者2日一早来到无锡市滨湖区计生局，已有多家媒体集聚此间。在该局准备的媒体接待室内，一位蔡姓工作人员提出，希望媒体留下想要提问的问题由其转交领导，调查结果出来后会及时联系媒体公布。对于媒体提出张艺谋、陈婷代理人递交了哪些相关材料，张艺谋本人是否要来无锡接受调查等问题，该工作人员均以暂无新进展为由避开。
“我们已经在央视节目上回应了张艺谋工作室发表的声明，对张艺谋的态度表示欢迎，同时希望张艺谋能按法律法规主动配合，如实申报相关年份的真实收入，用作计算罚款金额之用。目前此事暂时已无新的消息发布。”蔡姓工作人员称，公布新进展的时间应该不会很晚，希望媒体予以理解。
记者了解到，已有多家媒体在张艺谋承认接受调查之后帮其算了“超生账”，其中有以江苏无锡市城镇居民人均可支配收入为基准算出的57万余元，也有根据张艺谋年收入计算出的超亿元高额罚款，至于到底要处罚多少，今日无锡滨湖计生局并未作正面回应。网络上，大量网友参与了此事的评论，有网友称，罚钱多少是后话，关键是相关部门处理此事的态度令人费解。
据悉，1日晚间张艺谋工作室公布的《致媒体与公众的一封公开信》中除了承认妻子孩子的事实外，另外部分内容重点提到有人恶意造谣与中伤，信中表明将对相关恶意造谣的报料者和相关偷拍媒体保留追责权利。(完)
