陈宝珍表示，只靠纪检部门的监督远远不够，必须依靠社会和群众的力量。经过部分村镇的试点，去年5月，封开县在全县199个村(居)全部建立了廉政工作站。每个廉政工作站由3至5人组成，站长由熟悉本村情况的驻村镇干部担任。陈宝珍强调，在每个村建立廉政工作站，就是把纪检监察组织的监督触角延伸到村一级，廉政工作站相当于"村纪委"；在镇一级成立农村廉政创建办公室，指导和监督村级廉洁工作站的工作；县纪委有专门的部门指导和监督镇农村廉政创建办公室，从而形成一套完整的监督体系。
廉政工作站成立后，除了重点监督村集体"三资"、强农惠农专项资金、低保户核定等群众关心的重点、难点问题外，对村干部个人财产的监督，也是廉政工作站的重要内容。
