  在饶平站的现场办公会上,徐少华指出,厦深高铁是国家快速客运网中的骨干线之一,是连接福建、广东及港澳地区的便捷铁路通道,对粤东地区振兴发展具有重要意义。


  粤东地区一直是广东发展的短板。今年3月,广东出台《加快推进全省重要基础设施建设工作方案(2013-2015年)》,提出在“十二五”后三年里,加快粤东西北交通设施建设将是广东省基础设施建设工作中的主体内容与重中之重。


  按照《工作方案》提出的目标,从今年开始三年时间里,广东每年的铁路通车里程将超过300公里,整个铁路干线将以广深为中心向周边延伸,进一步打通广东内联外通的大动脉。届时,广东铁路通车总里程将突破4000公里。


  “在具体的产业发展中,旅游业或许是最能直接见效的行业,粤东一带的旅游开发也会提速。”杨益生认为。
