亚心网讯（首席记者 刘书成）“阿拉伯航空公司已确定要开通沙加至乌鲁木齐航线，沙加离迪拜只有20公里，如果开通此航线，新疆人去迪拜度假只需花4小时50分钟”。
12月27日，新疆机场集团公司党委书记、董事长顾中秦说，习近平总书记提出共建“丝绸之路经济带”的战略构想后，西安、重庆、成都等机场，以及阿联酋的阿拉伯航空公司都与我们积极联络，共商合作。其中，阿拉伯航空公司不但确定要开通沙加至乌鲁木齐航线，还在考虑未来开通至喀什航线。
自治区党委经济工作会议指出，中央作出建设丝绸之路经济带的战略决策，这是着眼于中华民族伟大复兴的国家战略，但最受益的是新疆。新疆作为我国向西开放桥头堡，作为古丝绸之路最核心地带，面临新的重大机遇。
新疆社科院党委书记、副院长阿不都热扎克·铁木尔表示，新疆要充分发挥地缘、人文优势，努力把新疆建设成为丝绸之路经济带上重要的交通枢纽中心、商贸物流中心、金融中心、文化科技中心、医疗服务中心。
顾中秦说，自治区党委提出要打造“丝绸之路经济带”空中大通道，乌鲁木齐成为核心区，因此新疆机场的建设将围绕这个战略重新定位、规划，要向西、向欧洲发展航线网络，布局新疆的机场网络。如今，新疆机场集团正着力扩大机场建设，增加与内地及周边国家的航线航班，打通空中“丝绸之路”通道。
