按照新的全国铁路运行图，今天从桂林开往北京的高铁就是G530次列车将于12点15分从桂林站还出，全程运行时间10小时36分，于今天晚上22点51分到达北京西客站，就压缩了16小时左右，具体的票价为桂林至北京西动车商务座就是2530元，一等座是1249.5元，二等座是806元，为了更好的让桂林的旅客搭乘高铁快车，桂林市针对高铁散客开展了宣传促销活动。

今年底广西五条高铁和2条普通速度的铁路建成投产，初步形成了北通南达东进西连的路网格局，向北通过湘桂、黔桂、焦柳等铁路与众多的铁路干线相连接，向南经广西沿海铁路可以到达青州北海防城等广西沿海海口，使南宁、青州、北海、防城港四个市之间形成一小时城市经济圈，加快的实现了北部湾地区经济一体化进程。
向东通过南广、黎湛、三茂、粤海等铁路，连接珠三角经济发达地区，向西通过云桂、金南、南昆等铁路可连通西南省区。多条铁路新线的开通将进一步奠定了广西在中国西部特别是大西南对外开放格局中的经济战略地位，同时为推动中国东盟自由贸易区发展注入新的活力。
