不过，意大利政坛似乎并不在意这样的抨击。目前意大利的财务状况非常糟糕，因此设置更多税种提升财政收入是一个被优先考虑的问题。莱塔也很可能将这一税种作为与欧盟谈判的筹码，希望获得欧盟的更多援助。
