　　中新网1月2日电 据中国驻旧金山总领馆网站消息，当地时间1月1日21时25分，一个从停放在中国驻旧金山总领馆门前面包车内下来的人拎着两桶汽油泼向总领馆正门并点火焚烧，致使领馆正门严重损毁。旧金山警察局、消防局及美国国务院外交安全局等部门迅速赶到现场处理，目前案件正在侦破中。

　　此次纵火案是针对中国驻美领事机构的恶性破坏事件，严重损毁领馆设施，威胁馆员和周边居民安全，中方对此表示强烈谴责。

　　中国驻旧金山总领馆已向美方提出交涉，敦促美方切实履行职责，保护中方馆舍和人员安全，并迅速破案，将凶犯绳之以法。
