粤东西北的崛起为珠三角拓展了经济腹地，通过“腾笼换鸟”获得空间资源的珠三角后劲更足。广东省统计局称，由于珠三角转型升级加快，广东产业结构近期有望从工业主导的“二、三、一”格局，调整为服务业主导的“三、二、一”格局。
