从2013年8月份开始，我省分4批先后启动了25个专项治理项目，形成由浅入深、由易到难、批次推进、狠刹“四风”的高压态势。
据不完全统计，截至2013年年底，我省务实整改转作风取得不少成绩。
1.取消节庆、论坛、展会58项；
2.各级党政机关停止新建楼堂馆所项目29个，清理办公用房总面积2415.6万平方米，整改超标面积97.4万平方米；
3.减少省级审批项目85项；
4.省直11个一级预算单位前三季度实际减少“三公”经费开支5000万元。

我省还通过正风肃纪推进整改落实。2013年5月份以来，先后组织暗访20余次，严肃查处了省地矿局测绘地理信息院公款集体聚餐等问题；节假日期间，对9118个旅游景点、高档酒店等消费娱乐场所进行了监督检查，查处公车私用125辆，处理106人。
省公安厅在正风肃纪专项整治活动中，调整存在突出问题的领导班子120个；共辞退民警34人，开除民警22人，调离公安机关12人；全省有1439名在编不在岗人员返回原工作岗位。

群众路线教育实践活动的成效如何，群众最有发言权。
为充分调动和激发群众参与的积极性，检验活动效果，在活动的三个环节，我省分别开展了“群众三评”工作——群众评价、群众评议、群众评判。在第二环节“群众评议”中，我省对两个综合评价满意度和单项评价满意度不到三分之二的单位，分别进行了诫勉谈话和警示提醒，责令限期整改，产生了较大震动。
