1月6日早晨，长江中游局部水域巳生浓雾，能见能度不足1500米。连日来暖阳高照的长江宜昌段气温也明显下降，预计未来气温还将持续下降。宜昌海事局介绍，当前长江干线正处最枯水位期，三峡库区又处水位消落期，如遇强降温、大风及雾霧天气对进出川待闸停泊船舶安全影响较大。
为做好辖区水上安全监管工作，海事部门加强与气象部门的联系，通过CCTV、VHF等监控设备，及时收集辖区适时气象和通航安全信息，向各船舶发布安全预警信息。海巡艇现场巡航，及时掌握辖区通航环境变化情况，提醒过往船舶合理配载，严防搁浅、触损事故的发生，同时加大三峡库区、桥区、浅区、事故易发区等重点水域以及弯窄河段的现场监控力度。(完)
