Hainan Province the biggest case of illegal absorbing public deposits will break

Xinhuanet, Haikou, January 6 (reporter Wang Zichen)-reporter 6th learnt from the Haikou City Public Security Bureau, after 10 days fighting, the detected Shen Guilin Haikou police of illegal absorbing public deposits, the suspect Shen Guilin has been tracked him down. With built in Hainan Province, it is the biggest cases of illegal absorbing public deposits, in connection with the victims of more than 200 people, involving some 800 million dollars.

The investigation, since February 2010, Shen Guilin suspects personally, Haikou Tate pawn LLC guarantees, promised monthly interest 2% per cent of high returns, to the public illegally absorbed deposits to invest in development of other industries and debt service and personal consumption. With the increase of illegal absorbing public deposits, repayment of growing pressure, resulting in funding strand breaks. Beginning of December 2013, the suspect fled Hong Kong Shen Guilin, later traveled to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and other countries harbouring.

On December 18, 2013, Shen Guilin Hainan Province Public Security Bureau for illegally absorbing public deposits transferred to Haikou municipal Bureau of investigation and supervision. Haikou Police attach great importance to immediately set up a task force investigation. On December 28 the Panel suspects captured Shen Guilin in Laos. According to initial statistics, in connection with the victims of more than 200 people, has so far reported over more than 150 victims, involving around 800 million dollars. At present, Shen Guilin suspects have been detained and the case is under further investigation.

　　新华网海口1月6日电（记者王自宸）记者6日从海口市公安局获悉，经10个昼夜奋战，海口警方成功侦破沈桂林涉嫌非法吸收公众存款案，犯罪嫌疑人沈桂林日前被抓获归案。这是海南建省以来最大的一起非法吸收公众存款案件，涉案受害人200余人，涉案金额约8亿元。

　　经查，2010年2月以来，犯罪嫌疑人沈桂林以个人名义，用海口泰特典当责任有限公司做担保，允诺月利息2％至3％的高额回报，向社会公众非法吸收存款，用于投资发展其他产业和还本付息及个人消费。随着非法吸收公众存款数额增多，还本付息的压力越来越大，造成资金链断裂。2013年12月初，犯罪嫌疑人沈桂林潜逃香港，后辗转到泰国、柬埔寨、老挝等国家藏匿。

　　2013年12月18日，海南省公安厅将沈桂林涉嫌非法吸收公众存款案移交海口市公安局侦查，并进行督办。海口警方高度重视，立即成立专案组开展侦查工作。12月28日专案组在老挝将犯罪嫌疑人沈桂林抓获。经审讯，犯罪嫌疑人沈桂林对其非法吸收公众存款的犯罪事实供认不讳。

　　据警方初步统计，涉案受害人有200余人，至今已有150多名受害人报案，涉案金额约8亿元。目前，犯罪嫌疑人沈桂林已被刑事拘留，案件正在进一步侦办中。
