韩国媒体引述政府消息人士称，韩国政府认为这只是普通的商业交易，不应该引发外交纠纷。这位消息人士表示，如果美国对这样一个交易都“视为问题”，那么“全球的国际贸易系统应该关闭”。
此前，美国方面以威胁国家安全为由，阻挠华为科技在美国市场的发展。美国方面认为华为和中国军方存在某种联系，华为断然否认。
